I agree. I dont mind the conversations about fixing it with a mod but I would hate to have any major improvement in a patch. You wouldnt know it from these forums but I still feel that solo players outnumber mp players.
At the moment, in tests of the AI, Oceania does exceptionally well. Id hate to see an improvment for mp purposes that makes it a killer in ai.
just IMHO

Re: Don't change Oceania
I had a sacred statue with S9, and I can't remember if I had a minor bless too. Somehow I had Kokythiads, but I don't know if I just traded for the D gems and empowered or if I threw W and D on the statue too. Probably empowered, is my guess. Oceania didn't pick up 1/2 a win, it went to either Mictlan or Sauromatia I think.
On another note, in a different game, I rushed EA Oceania as R'lyeh, and killed him with overwhelming masses of Lobo Guards (and an awake kraken). I think R'lyeh is more fun than Oceania too, even if a 2-ton Mind Lord can't fight off a single soulless to save his life. Dammit, squish it with your tail! Stupid Mind Lord, no wonder they went extinct.

Is this where the unconquered fort of Sauromatia came into play?
Anyway, I was in a game where the last remaining nation, other than me, was EA Oceania, who had a pretender with rather interesting paths, A9W9E9F9D9S9N9B9.

Re: Don't change Oceania
No, actually it was a MP game, Bltizkrieg to be exact.
I have no idea how he, or maybe even she, managed to do that, it was a rather small map, and Oceania held about 10-15 provinces at the most the whole game.
Obviously there was heavy empowering, however I have no idea where the gems for such empowering came from.
I can post the last turn if you don't believe me, and just checked it was A9W9E10F9S10D9N9B9 actually.

Re: Don't change Oceania
Hmmm, is there a hard limit of level 10 for magic levels? That wouldn't have been prohibitive with a little luck in finding magic sites and aggressive clamming it's not all that hard to end up with 50 astral income, so one wish for magic power every other turn...
Oceana is great at clamming and turtling to be sure.

Re: Don't change Oceania
I think I recall hearing that 15 was the path limit, but I'm not sure. I think wishing for magic power tops out at 9 or 10 though. Both untested, since I really don't care all that much =)

Oh, I get it. I forgot about in-game increases, I was just calculating the points in my head. Sounds like somebody was wishing for "Magic Power" (and probably "Power" while they were at it).

Re: Don't change Oceania
I think that 20 is the limit, not sure though. And I don't know if you can get over it with boosters.
