I do play SE4 from time to time, but I have never tried any of the 'multiplayer' options.
Is the setup hard? what is involved? Maybe I should give it a try.

Well, the setup is basically one-to-one competitive matchs. The settings themselves are usually fairly standard, but you may convince your opponent to alter these. The difficulty of the game itself depends on the level of your adversary. You will have a much easier time against my League than against Asmala or Rex.

You've never played SE4 against humans? The game is created for multiplayer games. Or at least I think so.
You don't have to read through all those rules. Most of them are not-so-important stuff about forfeits and such.
