Re: Oscar Mayer wieners
Oh, I'm glad I'm not an Oscar Mayer wiener,
'cause that is what I don't want to be.
For if I were an Oscar Mayer wiener,
there would be nothing left of me.

Don't you hate it when you keep hearing a mysterious beep sound from somewhere and you don't know where it's coming from? It seems to happen randomly: there's a little beep and then silence, and it only happens once in many days. The sound stops after just one beep so it's hard to track down the source and it's the kind of sound that's hard to tell the direction it's coming from, but it seems to be something fairly close. It doesn't seem to be the computer or a watch or a phone or clock or smoke detector or anything obvious like that. But it hasn't happened now for many weeks.

Re: UPS?
Got an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) for your machine? Most models beep when they boost or block power to keep up with demand without blowing anything out - if the house power flickers, a UPS will often beep once, as it maintains steady power for a moment.

Re: UPS?
I had something like that...Then I remembered where my watch with the broken strap was.
Good battery on that thing. Kept it up for months.

Re: (: ahaHahaHahaHahaHahaHahaHahaHahaH
Why? It's an excellent thread for a minor OT discussion not worth starting another thread over. And it can be a great place to just act silly

Heresy!
Let the race die? Without a winner? That's crazy talk.
Not as crazy as post saying you think a thread should die, in the thread you think should die but it's close.
Anyway I hear the next stage of the race, through the mystical lands of Khaz Modan and the mountains of cheese, is especially exciting!
