Re: A 1.35 BUG!!!!!!!
Daynarr,
Yes, I am using a custom map, which I'll attach. I am not, however using any mods. My SE4 game itself is totally plain-vanilla
Yes, it is almost certainly related to use of the map editor. But what the heck, I mean, it's a new SE4 toy, of course we're going to play with it until it breaks
Thanks for asking, Daynarr, you're one of the good guys around here.

Re: A 1.35 BUG!!!!!!!
It reads like the more you have mod'ed the game the bigger the errors.
I have been playing two multi-player games by e-mail and a single player game.
The only errors I have so far are with the non-MM empires, all wrong names in default strategies <fixed!>. This only occurs if they are an AI not when a human is playing them.
I have a fairly mode'ed component, settings, and facilties data files, mostly new stuff.
So it looks like that you have to get on to the mod'ers and get them to fix up their mod's for V1.35.

Re: A 1.35 BUG!!!!!!!
Did you guys give planets/storms/ect. special abilities that aren't found in the normal game? like shield generation to a planet, or anything wierd like that... if so perhaps that's the problem.

Re: A 1.35 BUG!!!!!!!
Jourin that's great! I hope it will help MM to fix this problem.
Possum, if you don't use any mods but this map you have posted (I can't see anything wrong in it), you should send that corrupted save game to MM so Aaron can fix it.
The funny thing with this is that I haven't made anything new with my game since 1.30 patch (all the mods I use now, I was using on previous Versions as well, and they worked just fine with no errors at all). The only major difference is this map made in Map Editor, but even there I haven't made anything drastic (like adding strange abilities to planets and such things).
All people that get more of these Messages when trying to load a save game and don't use any mods should send that save to MM with explanation so that MM can fix them. More mails to MM mean more attention to the problem and faster solution.

Re: A 1.35 BUG!!!!!!!
It may not just be the custom map, but a combination of factors. I can play the game with a custom map and save and reload with no problems, and then I do something that causes the save game to crash.
I think one of those somethings is scrapping a facility on the first turn and building a different facility that what was present a the start. This is the only something I have been able to consistently duplicate.
But I have also played games where I do not do that and still get the error I just can't isolate what caused it, because the something could occur at turn 10 and you could play to turn 35 before you save and reload and get the error.

Just had a thought: are you reloading a game that you saved during the current play session? Or are you saving a game, quitting the game, relaunching SE4, and loading the saved game? I still haven't run into any bugs, but every saved game I've used was loaded from Resume Game rather than Load Game. I vaguely recall running into a similar problem in some other program.

Re: A 1.35 BUG!!!!!!!
I have done all. Try to re-load a saved game from within SEIV, quit and then try to re-load, and just use the resume game. If I have problems with that saved game it doesn't matter. Also this dosen't happen consistently. If I scrap a facility on the first turn and build a different one I got the error about 7 out of 10 times, yet on three occassions I did not get the error yet did the same action. On one game I didn't scrap facilities and it still occurred and I don't know why. My best guess is that a field in the Saved Game, probably tied to the map has a chance of getting corrupted each time the game is changed, and some changes/actions have a greater chance of corrupting this field than others. I am only playing a totally unmodded SEIV game, but using a custom map, and everytime it happens I will send the saved game to MM. Actually it is interesting replaying the same turns as you get to see the furture and thus make better decisions. It is also allowing me to rediscover the fun of an unmodded game.
