Try www.maximumpc.com great magazine. I was so impressed that I Subscribed. And every issue so far has a spam killer on the CD.

ya, maximum pc kinda took over where 'byte' left off

i'm still sad about that mag's demise
maximum pc is still to 'wow wiz bang kewlio' marketing hype for my tastes... and a little short on hard tech info... but i guess i'm fairly extreme when it comes to hardware knowledge (having started back in the days of tape drives on my c64 ;P, then graduated to floppy, then finally a 40 meg MFM drive on my first pc)

Ahh, the C64, how I longed for that one, had a Sinclair zx-81 with 1K RAM and my sisters tape recorder.
