Well, that is downright evil. Does that mean it's back to the drawing board?

Not yet. Although I'll admit this map puts colonizable systems at a premium (especially after having 2 wiped clean by blackholes. I suppose ring/sphereworlds + planet creators are an option, albeit expensive.
At least I still have my homesystem (built a grav shield facility in time there).

Why don't the Sharks use the Talisman? I thought they had all racial techs too.

And here I thought you were just being merciful.

Re: Invulnerable Challenge - Warning... Spoilers!
I'm not going to read this thread, but I had to post somewhere that I'm pissed...
Turn 2413.7 Update
Prevoiusly, a SpaceSharks Star Destroyer took out the Asellus Tertius System while we only lost a small fleet that was protecting the captured Space Sharks planet.
My 200 ship fleet took out the Regulan system loosing only about 30 ships. Captured 1 planet, which was then quickly destroyed by the SpaceSharks while my fleet took out the rest of the planets.
Our 178 ship fleet warped thru into the Terradome system expecting victory after a hard fight and after 1 turn lost 85% of our Fleet.
Now I have to rebuild my fleet.
And I still don't know how I'm going to get into their Home System, but not going to try that warp point again.
I wonder if that Star can be blown?

Re: Invulnerable Challenge - Warning... Spoilers!
Nice update! That's what this thread is for... to vent if not anything else.
Interesting comments at the end of your post... I wonder how that will turn out?
The SpaceSharks scoff at your plans to take Terradome. Heh heh heh...

Re: Invulnerable Challenge - Warning... Spoilers!
[EDIT] SPOILER (I thought there was Spoilers! in the name of this thread )
.
.
.
I have played a quite aggressive strategy. I started to build a warp point opener instantly in the biggest 8000M planet (because the high build rate). After I got that ready I started to attack against Sharks with my ships. I didn't had lots of them but my baseships were superior against Shark's ships (all of them didn't even have a talisman!). The shield accelerator, shard cannon and talisman is a lethal combination.
The game date is now 2411.9 and I just send my first small (scout) fleet of 40 ships to the Sharks Last system. As I expected it got annihilated completely at the first wave.
The biggest problem are storms. That first scout fleet has a storm destroyer accompanying and it got no damage when it entered to the storms. From this I deduced that a fleet with a storm destroyer won't suffer the damage from storms. Wrong. I lost my big fleet completely (about 150 baseships).
I've now tested storms and the obvious result is that at every day there is about 50% chages to get the whole damage or get nothing. And it should be noticed that it's per day so a fleet will be undamaged or totally destroyed.
Those seven storms in Terradome are deadly, if I have a bad luck they'll inflict 1400 damage to my ships! Perhaps some organic armor would be good!
