Re: ATTN: All my PBW/Online games
I could take care of history of the galaxy in your holiday time. But the only thing I'll probably do is to not wreck havoc in your diplomacy.
How must we proceed ?

Dumbluck:
You should run the next P&N PBW game turn... chocolatefro hasn't played a turn in weeks and I'm tired of waiting for the next turn!

Re: ATTN: All my PBW/Online games
Capn K: I'll look into it.
Morden: umm, that's a good question. Hey guys, how exactly DO you set up having a replacement player?

Re: ATTN: All my PBW/Online games
the easiest solution would be to PM me your passwords for both PBW and for your empire in that game.
That way when you are back you just have to change your PBW password and resume your game as if I never existed !

Morden: That's all well and good, but how are you going to get at the .gam files to begin with?

Post an Admin Request listing the game, your empire, and the replacement player. An admin can reassign your empire to the replacement.
Your empire can be returned to you later the same way.

Re: ATTN: All my PBW/Online games
Hey DumbLuck!!!!
I'll play your empire in Adamant 004.
Trust me! Honest! I'll do better than the A.I.
After all, my empire and yours are buddies. Right?

Maybe pressing the get turn button could do the trick ?
Then if you don't want to have your mailbox flooded, you'd better uncheck the "send turn with mail" button in your PBW profile.
And it is Murden, not Morden.

Re: ATTN: All my PBW/Online games
Murden: oops, sorry about the name thing. I meant how were you going to get access to that little "download turn" button if you weren't a member of the game. Which was answered by...
capnq: Thanks for the prompt reply. Much appreciated.
Wardad: Ummm... let me think.... Are you sure you wouldn't be biased?
By the way, the answer is NO! I really don't think you could!!! And then there's that whole State's Secrets bit, all of which you'd have to promise to forget...
All: Any other takers on Adamant 4? That was one of the more vocal game admins advocating a replacement player.
So far I've got:
- Murden for HotG2
- Adamant 4 really needs a replacement player.
- JYW2 and BFZ3: I could prolly just let the AI take my turns, there's no pressing business in them.
- Horrible Doom has yet to start, and I'd rather not let a replacement player take my first few turns. I respectfully request that this game be left on ALPU until my return.
Come on, guys! Time's running out!!!

Re: ATTN: All my PBW/Online games
the primitive one takes a step forward.
I'm sure I can handle one more game for a couple of weeks.
