Re: POLL: Which mod would you prefer?
Other: I'm far more interested in seeing you invent something of your own than merely copy someone else's creation. While I do love all those games and TV shows, no one but you can share with me those races that you might think up. Original creations are always superior to fan re-creations.
If you won't do something new and unique, then I'd vote for Star Control II. No one else is doing it, but all the others are being worked on already.

I am too a big fan of Babylon 5. I named my race in SE4 and Stars as FirstOnes.
I would love to see a full set of ships from B5.

Star Trek, Star Trek, Star Trek.
To see a well polished mod (does not have to be perfect) with all the relevant races and shipsets included would be just awesome. All the BOF people would then want to come and buy this much better game

Re: POLL: Which mod would you prefer?
I would like to see original creations. Just reading through the board there are numerous races that sound more interesting to me than a spinoff of a TV series.

Is Kimbal Kinnison Dead, did EE Doc Smith live in vane.
I vote for a Lensmen Ship set. With 6 books of ships from speeders to flying planets there would not be a shortage of ship types.

6. All the above.

Re: POLL: Which mod would you prefer?
Am I the only one that remembers the Lensman series of science fiction books by E. E. "Doc" Smith?
Maybe I'm dating myself but these were tremendous books of the "Space Opera" genre, complete with navies that included massive dreadnaught ships with incredible hellbore beam weapons and shields with many levels (outer, inner, etc.). Lots of exotic tech too. Some pretty cool and evil aliens too. It's a perfect setting for a new race/shipset idea. Not the same old, same old.
Anybody else remember that series?
