So, I did everything I could think of to keep my empire going: I scrapped all the fueling stations on my homeworlds (all three in the same system), scrapped 2 SpacePorts, and scrapped all 3 Yards. Also, began scrapping research facs (at this point, 75,000 in research wasn't needed as much as minerals) at all the homeworlds and building mineral extraction. Began scrapping mineral storage places in lieu of extraction places. But, it kept my resources up and dropped my research (at game end) to 56,000.

Are you sure you got the resources from those scrapped facilities? I remember there was a thread about a bug concerning facility scrapping. Or do you scrapped them just to get room for mineral extraction facilities?

I didn't know you were supposed to get something from scrapping facilities. I only scrapped them so I would have room to build Mineral extraction facs.

When you scrap a facility your resources increases at once. But according to that thread the resources disappear during turn processing.

Re: Are you tough enough to be the \"King of the Hi
You are supposed to get 30% of the cost of the facility scrapped (the same goes for ships). According to Geo, you do not get the resources if you scrap the facilities directly, and will only have them if you abandon the planet.
On another note, I am now stepping in as KOTH Admin, as you may have noticed. Please start sending mails previously addressed to Asmala to my own address, available in my profile (it is alneyan[AT]fastmail[DOT]co.uk). My Yahoo mail is still used, but no longer my main mail, and mostly serves to get all the mails PBW sends. Posting on this thread is fine as well, or even sending PMs , so long as I do get your message.

Then that means you will be setting up KOTH games as well? (hint)
EDIT: Nevermind, I see now the site is back up and I'm in "wait" mode.

Yes, it looks like you will have to wait for Joachim or Gandalf Slynky.
The rules page has been updated.

Well, our game is very unlikely to finish before theirs. But if you do want to give me an opportunity of settling a certain old score, there are always the Ratings games. (I would probably not be able to go faster than four turns a day or so though)

I will take that under consideration (after Christmas and after Geo finishes whipping my Crystal ships with his DUC V's ).
