I met Rambie on turn 6 and it still took 60 turns to take him out. All is not lost Tesco, remember who you are playing (1-6).

Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
My experience from several 3 player games Cheese is that if the guy getting teamed up on isn't totally wiped off the map before the other two turn on each other, they don't leave him enough to have a realistic chance of making a comeback. My personal opinion is that if you have three players, it's better to wait and find a fourth, or play separate two man games.

Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
Geo, if you want a surefire way to beat Primitive, listen close.
What you do is gift him a really really large vat of vegetable oil to rub over himself, and also get your intelligence operatives to leave a few copies of "Muscles Weekly (with large colour photos)" round the royal palace on his home planet.
He will spend so much time larding himself up and reading the muscleboy mags that he wont notice whilst you sweep in and trash his empire
Note to Primitive: said extremely tongue in cheek!!

Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
Geo, GT’s advise won’t work.
Vegetable oil is only for sissies. Primitive only uses oil from the most ferocious animals, processed from beasts he has killed and skinned himself (not necessarily in that order).
Hmmm, maybe some tiger oil would be nice. Does that come in extra virgin ?
Edit: Cant spell

Boxed in is not a good thing.

No, it's not. Hopefully the new default setting of small spiral map will prevent that in the future. So far in all my games using it even with an early meeting each player has a way to go to expand that won't overlap for a while.
