Re: OT: Superbowl
I am not, nor have I ever been a big Radiers fan. But since I picked them for my pyschic race prediction, I get a plate of crow too. Tampa bay OTOH, had always been a laughing stock. Called them "tampon bay" all the time because they played like a bunch of girlies. . So my crow comes more from the winning the SB that from being a Raider fan. But do not take offence. I am a devout Cardinals fan. I became a fan when they moved to Phoenix (Tempe, actually) as I had also just moved there. Sooner or later, even they might win the Superbowl. Hell, If Tampa bay can do it, SURELY they can.
(but I don't want another helping)
Good for you Tampa Bay. Hope you stay king of the hill for a while.
(I am sorry I missed this season, due to other circumstances.)

Yeah, I'm sure they will eventually do it. I imagine if their cap situation (I talk about that alot don't I? ) isn't too bad that they can slowly build a good team just like Tampa Bay did. I think that cardinals can make it to the big one in no less then 5 years. (It's along time I know but they have some work to be done)
I don't think my Jags will make it to the big game in any less then 3 years from now. They also have alot of work to do. I expect 2 more rebuilding seasons until they are playoff contenders once more.
Tampa Bay did use to play like girlys... But now they are the most brutal team in the league. They are extreamly physical and you don't want to be hit by them. Tampa Bay along with the Eagles are two big time hitters.

Re: OT: Superbowl
putting TB and the Eagles in the same class is quit a statement. The Eagles has a fantastic team when I was Last able to watch a season.
The Cards have had many chances to build a good team, but they always end up picking up some high dollar baffon for a QB (that has been on four other teams and couldn't cut it) and overlooking or second stringing a decent rookie. The Cards management was one of the things that drove me away from the sport.
I have not watched a game in the Last two season because of my situation, nor the two prior to that because of lack of interest and triggered rants. I kinda wanted to get back into the fan-base this year, but alas was not able to. I am hopefull next year I will be out of this area, and in a better position to be able to enjoy a season. (hears Fyron mumble...."is this guy boo hooing again?")
My second favorite team use to be the browns. When i do get back into the fan base, I might have to take a season and reassess my team choices. Tho the Cards will always be on top. I know vegas starts accepting bets right after the draft. maybe I will put 20 bucks on the Cards to win. Should get decent odds. lol

Indeed. Eagles were favored this year to win the NFL championship and win the superbowl. They had an outstanding year (12-4). They lost to the Giants in week 17 that allowed the Giants to make the playoffs. The Eagles got a first round bye due to winning home field advantage throughout the playoffs. They then played the Falcons in the Divisional round. In the NFC Championship game the Eagles played the Bucs. Whoever won goes to the superbowl. The Eagles were heavy Favorites being at home, and the Bucs record in Veterans stadium was 0-3. Their record for playing in weather below 30 degrees was something like 0-9. But they came and the stomped the Eagles. They just plainly shut the Eagle offense down. So they indeed had it going for them this year.

I know, I can't figure that out sometimes. I think the Cards need to work on finding a new GM or something in order to be smarter with their draft picks and smarter with who they sign for their QB. If they do this I think they can become contenders quickly.

The Browns didn't do too badly this year. They just shot themselves in the foot a couple times. They nearly won their division but they couldn't pull off the games that mattered. They were man handling the Steelers in the Last game between the two in the regular season but they ended up losing. They were doing the same to the Colts but the Colts came back and beat them. The Browns made it in as a wild card and faced the Steelers to begin with. At halftime they held a good sized lead. (I think like 20 points) but the second half they blew it once more.

Re: OT: Superbowl
Yea. Reminds me of two things.
The 2nd one, is an old joke>
Q: What is the difference between the Denver Broncos and Linda Lovelace?
A: Linda Lovelace don't choke on the big ones.
The First tho is a little frustrating, and the names have slipped my mind. The cards had just obtained 2 new QBs. one was a 6'4" rookie (Last name starting with a B iirc), and a "vetern" player who's previous teams included Tampa bay in all their horror. During the pre-season games, they compared the two against each other, and the rookie CLEARLY was the better player. But when the season started they put the "veteran" player as starting QB and gave the fans the excuse that "experience" was more valuable than anything else. They lost a lot of games (and fans) that year. At season end, the rookie left the cards, and brought his new team to the playoffs the next season.
As long as the cards make those kinds of mistakes, them winning the superbowl will become as much a joke target as, the Cubs winning the world series was. (someone made the comment after the Last Cubs WS win, that the Berlin Wall would fall before they won it again. The commentator was right).

Re: OT: Superbowl
All you Cardinals fans can console yourselves with the fact that at least you aren't Bengals fans.
Geoschmo, so desperate he actually rooted for Cleveland in the playoffs this year. Which is of course why they lost.
