Attention all hosts of Image Mod mirrors:

The readmes of the Combat and Components packs have lines like this in them:

To install this imagemod, copy all the contained files into your ".../SE4/Pictures/components" directory.
Replace "components.bmp" with "Newcomponents.bmp". All of the original SE4 images are contained
in the new BMP, so all other mods and saved games will not be affected.

The facilities and planets packs do not have these lines in them. You need to add a line like this to the html page on your mirrors:

To install this imagemod, copy all the contained files into your ".../SE4/Pictures/xxxx" directory, where "xxxx" stands for the name of that part of the image mod (combat, components, facilities, or planets). Replace "xxxx.bmp" with "Newxxxx.bmp". All of the original SE4 images are contained in the new BMP, so all other mods and saved games will not be affected.

Doing this will help to alleviate a lot of confusion over how to install the Image Mod properly.

Future Versions of the Planet and Facility packs need to have this info in their readmes.

I think it would be best for the ImageMod to just overwrite the existing files. Perhaps the readme file could contain a message to backup the original files if the user doesn't want to get rid of them.

That would probably be better, but this solution works now. Overwriting requires a new release of the image mod files.

I agree, but for the next Version, the overwrite is a must. Too many noobs are suffering minutes, maybe hours of angst!

PlanetPack Update - v7 (or 8) updated to 9 (1,955 KB)

PlanetPack Full - v9 (5,398 KB)

These ZIPs are now set up to install fully automaticaly.
Extract them to SE4\pictures\planets and you will be done.
