..actually I prefer 'David' (One word two sylables,.. first word is equal to 24hrs, second word is somewhat realated to 'VHS'!!)
Oh, and in case you were wondering on how to pronounce my 'family name' it's Ger-Va the 'is' is silent!
Cheers!

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Hey David, my reworked avatar looks GREEEEAAAAAATTTTTTTT (cue Tony the Tiger from the Frosties advert!!)
you missed out the dripping blood from the fangs and the horde of nubile young blart kneeling at my feet but other than that, it is kendal mint cake
PS an actor here in England called Ricky Gervais stars as a character called David Brent in a humourous show called "The Office".. you may get tarred with this brush if you are not careful
PPS isnt the "Gervais" pronounced "Gervay" or is that just the poncy French pronounciation?

..are you implying that I should call myself Ricky Brent? LoL well that's a 'Spinner' on the old 'Martin'
..and I might be Canadian Ay!, but that doesn't mean Ay!, that my name Ay! ends with an Ay! Ay!
God that hurt to type!
Cheers!

First, I created this 'Retro-Avatar' for the occasion..

While browsing some of the other threads I caught sight of a message that had people talking about the good ol' days of 300 baud modems. I posted a short reply about the very first download I made.. (a music demo called Passionately!).. my eyes glazed over and I thought back to one of my favorite games of all time, 'Miner 2049er' for the Atari 800 computer. That's what inspired me to create this little avatar...

Wow, not only did I used to play Miner 2049er (it was one of my favorite games) I even saw the Passionately demo! It had the vertical bars on it, right?
Anyway, I was wondering if I can use that avatar, or is it specifically reserved for you (or someone else?)
(BTW, I also loved M.U.L.E., which means I also own a copy of Space HoRSE.)

Atari_eric, feel free to use the avatar! Here's the link to the gif!

Cheers!
P.S. Do you know that bigfivesoftware.com has a miner2049er/bounty bob integrated emulator available for download? It runs on Windows 95 and up! It runs fine on my WinXP! Just go to their web site and scroll down the page a bit and you'll find it!

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Ok, green with envy and having no artistic talent whatsoever, I humbly request an avatar from the master.
"Slick" comes from a book called Han Solo and the Lost Legacy and is a nickname that Han Solo picked up a long time ago. Think you could make one with his likeness?
*drooling*
Slick.
