Re: Initiative: EA game. Eleven players. Upload Pretenders
OKay, it seems like only Parone and I are left to upload and all expected nations are present and no unexpected nations are present.
So as soon as Parone and I get our pretenders uploaded (tonight for me), we'll pull the trigger and get this train-wreck underway.
Did anyone do any play-testing on this map? What are people's thoughts?

I'm playing on it in noobaphobia and it seems like a good map. No glitch complaints. My only complaint is that there are only 3 Wastelands IIRC, all close together, so it's quite possible to have no access to Wastelands.

Re: Initiative: EA game. Eleven players. Upload Pretenders
I believe you are correct, that you only need the image of the map. And, yes, you do need a means to unzip to get it out of the file linked by Kungfoo above.
The key part though, as far as getting the game launched smoothly, is to create your pretender with the "Conceptual Balance Complete 1.92 - Ettin Fixed" mod enabled and that mod only.
Having the map image is necessary only once you try to view your first turn.

Yep, Samhain is absolutely correct. Newer version of Windows should be able to handle .zip files innately, but if you're having issues you might consider using 7zip - http://www.7-zip.org/ - it's kinda the de-facto king of zipping these days.

Fungal reason has been set to Maverni.
Thank you Mars and thank you for writing considering what has happened. My condolences to you and your family.
