Re: desesperatly seeking races...
Thanks T, I'll make those changes tonight.
Just out of interest, do you (or anyone else) have all of those races installed on your HD at once? That would be impressive.
I currently have 132 races installed, totalling >300 meg!

Re: desesperatly seeking races...
You are correct about the Pyrochette, however, there were three Versions, there was one with a different race portrait, and another that was gray instead of brown/tan.
I do have a tendancy to label things protrait for some reason, I don't know why I do that....
Anyways, the Galactic Command (G) is gone. I no longer have the finished shipset, nor do I care to pull the files out of storage and rerender them.
The old turians to which you reffer is actually the new turians, the ones I uploaded recently were the old turians, I labeled the other shipsets turians simply for lack of a better name. The ships you ask about though are being used as the basis for another shipset though, so they will be rerealesed sometime in the future.

Re: desesperatly seeking races...
Yes, the "Ultimate Mod" was never released, just a "Preview" If the Ultimate mod had everything Hadrian said it was going to have, then yes, it was probably the Ultimate mod, if it just continued in the form of the Preview, then it was far from ultimate.

Re: desesperatly seeking races...
Hadrian had nearly completed the UM, IIRC it had been in a state of polishing. What slowed him down was the need to develop new racesets, scenarios and other nice things to have in a mod.

Re: desesperatly seeking races...
I found a race missed off the race dir: Phoenix-D's Cluk Ruk Protectorate. It might be named after a neutral empire, but it is a full and original race, and a really good one at that.
http://seiv.pbw.cc/Download/filelib/470/Cluk-Ruk.zip
Actually, that makes 133 races installed - I didn't count this one because it is in my pictures/raceneutral folder.
*dogscoff hurriedly downloads another half-dozen races just to top Fyron

Re: desesperatly seeking races...
Thanks dogscogff, I 've asled phoenix D to host it, that way it will gain notoriety.
I have many shipset on my HD indeed, but i would be unable to tell how many (about 70, I think). Everything is mixed in several Versions of SE IV or in external folders, or it's still in zip format. It's a real mess. I'll have to create a CD with all that stuff clearly arranged one day.
So I don't own all the shipsets that are previewed on the racedir; Andres have sent me many preview pics I was unable to find, and I grab some directly from the zip file without copying it to my computer.
I have in project to get all shipsets on a cd, to prevent them from disapearing when a site close (the death of SE.org has given me a lot of work to find all shipsets that were available on it).
But it's a huge and neverending task, as a new shipset or new Version of a old one comes out every week.
ZeroAdunn : about turians : COMWEALTH and TURIAN are the same race, you confirm ? I will change that on the racedir.
About "protrait" : Maybe the first signs of dyslexie ? I'm used to writing "thaht" instead of "that", I don't know why too.
Anyone else owns this mysterious "G" race ? (I've got to ask to my Last hope, Andres; he's going to hate me, being sollicited every two days for another shipset) Well, I'll have to put the "L.I.A." status on it. One more I couldn't save from oblivion...

Could you also ask him (assuming he's not reading this himself) to change the smallsatellite.bmp to satellitesmall.bmp (same with the large one)- that will bring his set into line with the ++ standard and the change I've asked PvK to make to Proportions. Sooner or later I'll get round to requesting the same change of all mods.
Oh, and if Phoenix-D isn't able to host the ClukRuk himself, I'd be honoured to have them on my site.

Re: desesperatly seeking races...
well, if you want to host it, no pb for me, ask him yourself and tell him to ignore my Last message. (send a private message, I don't have the email address)
If I could change something on the cluk-ruk, it would be the tiny transport : it has the same size as the small transport, it just have to be resized to be OK.

Thanks, but..

Wait. You put the pictures in the NEUTRAL directory? Ah well, that's what I get for not making an AI.
Anyone's welcome to host it if they want. I may look at revising the set later, but not at the moment (my bryce skills have gotten rusty, heh)
