Re: 4200 Damage out to range 8!
Just for the sake of clarity (I can be so obscure sometimes): the RTFM definition and the subsequent comment of my last post were not aimed at you Slick, but were simply the definition.
I think my notice isn't needed, but I guess it cannot do any harm (at worst, it will simply be useless).

What's the hot key for auto-self destructing yourself so you can no longer play SEIV when you should be doing work?

Why would you want that? SEIV is pure bliss, work is hell.

Set your computer to dial 8-800-NARF-WITH-HAMMERS if system uptime is more than 24h.

I don't think we'll ever know for sure if it was intentional, but it's really no trick. You see, us older guys remember the primitive days of computers. CTRL-M has always been the ASCII code for a carriage return. I'm glad those days of sending individual print commands to the screen/printer (and later modem) are looong gone.

Well, okay. So no social life for me, then. Darn it. Tell Aaron to add a self-destruct hot key in SEV.

Re: 4200 Damage out to range 8!
...Er, when was the dubious strategy guide last updated? I've only just started browsing it but it seems to be woefully out of date, with no disclaimers thus far about the info being old.

Re: 4200 Damage out to range 8!
It's pretty old but most of the info there is still good. Disregard the section on Intel problems as most of those are fixed. Also in the armor discussion, the bug where organic armor pre-regenerates has been fixed. There may be some other things in there that have been fixed in patches, but again, for the purposes of the issues discussed in this thread, most of the information there is still good.
