Re: PBW Server is down - and back up again
Things must be getting really bad; my wife asked me if I quit playing the game. I can't seem to get interested in a fight against the AI.
Can't wait to get back to kicking some Ruathian tail in GC1...

Nope, once you've beaten the AI every way shape and form, all that's left is PBW.

Re: PBW Server is down - and back up again
Help me, I am in severe detox. I must log in and watch a battle soon or I will have to take up drinking again.
Where is the server located anyway, can I buy you guys a new one? How 'bout a main frame run by Linux? Anything to get me building and bLasting.
Also, do you guys have the play by Web software available so that we might be able to set up a second server?

Re: PBW Server is down - and back up again
What's all the crying here for? PBW is nice, but your game hosts should be ble to run their games in its absense. One of my games has run 3 turns since PBW went down.
It seems people forget that SEIV was played before there was PBW. As a host I have even sent a few nag Messages out to the Last players to submit turns (I didn't want my players to feel to at ease being off line from PBW).

17 of 18 players had uploaded their turn files in my admin game.
So should I run the turn at home forfeiting all the uploaded turns I can't download.
Should I request all to download to me? No 18 players is too much to keep track of, individually reminding them to upload to me instead, explaining etc.
It's a newbie game and belive me, I've had a lot of other problems related to us being newbies without trying to explain to all how to send files to me etc(I know it sounds simple but beleive me it will be complicated, If I tried to say this to all I'd drown in e-mails (not all are very good in english either!)).
We will wait!!
