Re: Perpetuality - 62 Player MegaGame (Started)
Well my pretender is an unusual one, but it seems to be a working strategy... 3 experience stars already and leading the hall of fame... I'm sad, that my other troops got beaten by some boodhange druids and 3 dark vines...

Kills, pfft. Come and talk when your pretenders have as many deaths as mine. Big, slow, soft, the ideal punching bag. Not in any hurry to bull rush indies or anything.

Re: Perpetuality - 62 Player MegaGame (Started)
I haven't encountered any other nations yet, but that, I think, is to be expected on a map of this size. It is a third smaller than the maps I usually play on, but still big. I do hope I run into somebody soon though, my Jotuns are very hungry and need the protein.

Re: Perpetuality - 62 Player MegaGame (Started)
My virtuos prophet fell at the hands of the barbarians.
His death emboldens the other rangers and gives an example of sacrifice.
(which one of you guys took his boots and money pouch?)
No contact with other pretenders, not even a black candle.

If you don't mind my asking, what kind of Pretender and what forces was he leading?

Re: Perpetuality - 62 Player MegaGame (Started)
Damn! he didn't fall for my evil ploy...oh well.
Barbarians are rough on us all, even relatively awesome SCs, in the beginning game.
In my last SP game, I lost my capital to three consecutive barbarian invasions. Each time I was able to break the seige immediately and capture it back, but it taught me a lot about paying attention to province defense above and beyond my PD rating.
Don't feel too bad though-just because they're barbarians doesn't necessarily mean they're cannibals. They probably just hung your Prophet's sacred entrails from whichever tree they're worshipping this year, and used the rest to fertilize their crops.
