Re: So i made a new world map
Thanks. The water on your map is, IMO, of acceptable quality. Torvak's looks slightly better, but it's not worth the cost of making the zip file be 26.3Mb instead of 7.6Mb (and a 40Mb difference uncompressed!). I have uploaded yours on to my site and replaced his with it.

Re: So i made a new world map
It looks very nice. As a World-map-iphile, I've noticed several key differences in the Torvak Version:
Hawaii no longer exists at a province, this being the most noticeable. Also, it looks as if the terrain illustrations and province terrain flags aren't matching up: Is this an intentional omission, or simply a mischeck?

Re: So i made a new world map
That's what i meant with not really being happy with it anymore. Noticed it when naming the provinces and the Ural ended up east of the graphics. So there will be a new Version.

Re: So i made a new world map
Torvak, if you're making a new Version, I have a request : could we have thinner province borders ? As it stands province are relatively small, map must ne zoomed to be readable and then borders are 5 mm wide, that's too much IMHO.

Re: So i made a new world map
Hmm right now i just extracted the borders from the old map. That's why they are so thick. But i'm getting more used to gimp (just started using it saturday) and this time i keep the different features on different layers so it'll be possible to easily change the borders later.
