Re: Turn\'s up
New turn.
Has anyone noticed that Ulm is about to win on VPs? I think that we should gang up on Ulm for a little while, at least until we take a few of his VPs away.
If I'm forced to defend my capital, then Ulm might win very soon.

Re: Turn\'s up
Sure, jeffr, lets bash Ulm into the grounds - if you let me breathe, that is. Thats why I made the stats visible in the first place ;-)
Other question: After this game, I would like to start a new one. I think the settings for this game were quite nice, but I would be open to suggestions for a new game. Did you like the game ? Which map next ? How many players ?
BTW - I am not a big fan of complicated setups (with lots of house rules)

Re: Turn\'s up
This game was fun... I'm up for a small game again, much more manageable.

Re: Turn\'s up
The problem with small, crowded maps is the high importance of the starting position. I mean, how on earth did Ulm start all alone on the eastern continent with all other 5 nations on the western side? It is already too late to stop him from winning and the game will be over soon, I predict. QM sure should have stayed in the water as Atlantis to make it a little more balanced than it was.
Watching this game from the C'tis viewpoint has been very enjoyable. It does seem like a fun format indeed. Though, with the extreme high-speed pace of the game, I would have staled even more than my son did...
Bluebird: As for suggestions on the next game, I have found that Inland (or perhaps Desert Eye to allow for water nations) with about 10 people is the best overall game. As long as there is a decent victory condition, that is. Being wrap-around, the luck of the starting positions is much less than it is on maps with edges.

Yes, the start was very unbalanced. I suggest Inland too.

Re: Turn\'s up
I managed to defeat the small army that Ulm put agains t me. I've pointed my force against the big Ulm X next to me. He outnumberes by at least 3 to 1, but I've ordered the charge of the Rohimmrin.
