Bad news is some of us have never played this game period..... I don't suppose I could get a link to an informative n00btorialon on character creation? I've figured out the forms in Open RPG, just not what to put in them, maybe like a list of all my options and what they do... something like that. It seems we lack a full cleric, this sounds apealing.(unless cleric is a n00b unfriendly character, then I'm open to advice, however Monks also look "fun").

Re: Online D&D Gaming
If we don't have to have the stock gods perhaps I could have a Ranger of Viruk (Virkokka). Viruk is sort of made for Rangers. .
Warning: This is a joke. There is absolutely no way, to my knowledge that obeying Viruk is realistic. Besides I highly suspect you have to be CN.

Re: Online D&D Gaming
I don't know if there is still space, but I'd love to play (or help GM - I've been a storyteller for 15 years). 6 pm to 9 pm T/W/Th work for me most of the time, and I can confirm when it doesn't.
Also, if there is space, do I need to download something for character generation? I have the 3.0 books, and I gmed 2nd ed for years, but I've never played a 3rd ed table-top, just the pc games.

Not really. They have nothing to do with D&D.

NWN is more or less like D&D. There are a few changes to how some feats and skills function, due to it being a computer game and all. You could design your character in-game, then transfer it to OpenRPG (manually of course). Well, except for ability scores, which you need to do manually as we are using a different system.
Clerics are not too unfriendly. They combine spellcasting with decent combat abilities, so you are not stuck in one role or the other.
Personally, I would prefer to never see a monk... The monk class is extremely unbalanced class, even in 3.5...

You need OpenRPG. Another person willing to DM at times is always welcome! Speak with Cyclop.

Re: Online D&D Gaming
Ok,
WOW they have changed the rules....
Havent played anything but 1st and 2nd ed and just got a hold of a 3rd ed players today and it came as something as a rude shock.
So Cyclop, I would actually start as either a ranger or cleric then add later correct? Also I never saw in there but I take it its 1 feat at frist lvl and then feats are gained based on your overall all lvl not your class lvl..
Sorry just need to check my understanding.
Also I will be modifing my ability scores based on the new information from what I sent you... Apparently Cha plays a greater role in these rules....
Should have character for you tomorrow

Re: Online D&D Gaming
Yes, you get one feat at 1st level, and when you gain a level, you can pretty much take it in any class, given some limitations. You gain feats based on total level, not on individual class levels, but you gain class skills based on class level.
It's a little different from 2nd Ed, but I find that it actually plays pretty well. I usually don't bother to multi-class much, because the benefits of sticking to one class can be pretty high.

Less than 23 hours before the adventure begins.
I do however need your help with my contact sheet.
Please post or email me any info I don't have:

I will be in the OpenRPG / Alkazhar server with a SEIV D&D room open (9pm EST)
Most of the characters will be meeting in this town: Angry Thoms Trading Post
So far I have the Barbarian and Dwarf teamed up and the other Elves as a group. I will speak to you seperately via chat or email then.
