What makes the fish Greek? or maybe I don't wanna know. Pommes frites and puréed petite pois: fries and thick pea soup respectively. Hey it works! Attaching a French handle somehow upscales even the most mundane. Where eez mah kétchoupe, alors?

Wuzzy! A pleasant feeling is all you get from a bratwurst in the summer. No one eat them in the winter BTW because bratwurst is grilled. Ok, noone is a bit harsh. There are rumours that two unknown English people eat bratwurst in December (:eek . Must have been in this catch-me-a-Japanese-tourist-dark-hole-inn in Frankfurt. Its quite funny to be there if you like to see Japanese tourist Groups vomit in the floor after much to much beer.

Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
Hmm,
Wr8th, Gryphin and Mephisto
In response and in no particular order of priority:
1 by ally, I should qualify that by saying it is nice to obviously have a correspondlingly superior intellect to debate with on this board - it is too hard to find intellectual equals these days;
2 poisson a la greque is a reference to the cooking style dear boy, you are correct on the pomme frites, pureed petite pois means mushy peas in the colloquial - putting a french handle on everything has been the mainstay of the eclectic restaurant scene for aeons
3 mephisto, stop being embarassed about german cuisine, you know we are speaking the truth even if you obviously spend too much time in McDonalds or Wendy's
Next barb please

Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
Growltigga, glad to be your friend in need but in my humble opinion, you need a psychiatrist rather than an ally
Having gone through some of this thread and the gryphin and growltigga thread, I do have to ask what the cluck is going on? The pair of you are barking insane - has this much vaunted game you two are meant to be playing started yet or is this the longest case of male bravado and postering known to man?
Mac, I am delighted to see a voice of reason on this thread. G&G obviously need i. Good for you.
and as for 'circling the wagons' - I tracked that back - I might be able to breathe properly again sometime tomorrow
Mephisto, I spend maybe 1-2 weeks a month in Germany on business. I think it is more like Growltigga says than you would want to admit!

Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
GT,
I don't think it is very nice to drag nippy down to your level, (your inflated self perception not withstanding). Clearly his ability to read people is exceptional. I see only one error. I am "Crazy" and *that* prevents me from going "insane".
Nippy:
Nice to have you aboard. No, the game has not started yet and yes this is a wonderous world record for swaggering posturing bravado.
Please join in by all means. Hmm, actualy it looks like you already have.
Don't be foold by macs postings. He is as crazy as the rest of us.
As for your breathing, maybe we should put warning somewhere withing the thread.
GrowTigga, can you write up a disclaimer?

Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
Gryphin, charming I must say. NippyTheMagicalDuck is obviously an intelligent, urbane and thoroughly civilised and discerning individual so it is fair to say Gryphin that by any reasonable standard, you and I are 'insane' or at the very least 'warped'.
Nippy, delighted to meet you old bean. Glad you can join the party and hopefully assist me in showing these north americans the benefits of a damn good thrashing!
I would point out that the international challenge has been delayed not through lack of willpower, just more the problems of finding enough time and logistics and absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I have not got the hang of the game yet and dont really want to go down in flames!
Be kind to MAc, at his age he needs all the support he can get ain't that right Degsy
Nippy, glad you could point out to the Bratwurst kid that he ius more awash in brassicas than he thinks
Now going back to the asylum
wibble wibble frisnet frisnet

Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
Warpped I will accept. Querky even applys.
Does anyone know if we can use our own shipsets in the PBW?
I'm doing up a few ships and racial portrait apropriate to the Image of the mighty "Eries of Gryphin"
Will we be able to name the startting systems and home planets in PBW?

Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
Gryph, good point, I always assumed that we could change the names of the planets a la normal play, but would not be able to change the systme names (not sure you would want to do that anyhow as any ancient race would spot you right off)
Is it worth each participant stating who their empires will be for the record?
you are obviously the "Gryphins of Eerie", I am the 'Cosmic Church of Universal Uncertainty', Mac is the mad scientist of catsick or whatever
let each participant state their races for good measure
