P&N testers wanted
Here is the latest P&N, v2.4.
I'll need some people to help test it under the latest SE4 Version when the patch comes out, so I'll be ready for the CD.
Any bug reports will be appreciated.

Re: P&N testers wanted
I've been considering posting my personal mod for some time now. It's nowhere near 'complete' like the TDM modpack, for example, but it probably never will be. I'm too much of a tinkerer to finish something like that. The constant changing and testing is the whole point... What do you think is the best way for me to offer my 'suggestions' to the mod community for these 'finished' mods? Maybe I could just email a copy to the known modders? Or would it be worthwhile to post it with a bunch of experimental components, a couple of unfinished racial tech areas & whatnot?

Re: P&N testers wanted
i would suggest starting a thread like Kodos has for his ideas and questions. I get tons of mod / scenario ideas from that.

Re: P&N testers wanted
Any chance of getting it up on PBW.
The 1st P&N game is ready to start be we are debating to wait for 2.4.
So far 2.4 seems to be less buggy that 2.3c in solo games.

Re: P&N testers wanted
I will upload P&N v2.4 to PBW in about 5 hours. Someone just has to contact the PBW admins to get the mod actually installed there.
One addition to the changes list of P&N v2.4:
- Cost of the armor tech area has been increased. Hitpoints per KT per Research point spent is much more balanced now.
Therefore, in order to get a big hitpoint advantage over shields in the early game, you've gotta use the Premium mounts for that 40% strength bonus.
Shields vs Armor is now an early game concern, rather than only coming into play at max tech

Re: P&N testers wanted
OK, I've uploaded the mod to PBW, and posted a message about getting your game upgraded.
See Rich04's PBW thread
and
My PBW thread
Looks like we both posted at the same time, exactly 5 hours after it was discussed here

Re: P&N testers wanted
P&N won't run with the new patch. I get two errors with the settings.txt when I try to start. One with message display and another with ship movement delay.
Any idea when an update will be made?

Re: P&N testers wanted
I just noticed the thread that mentioned that.
Adding two lines to the settings.txt will fix it. see This thread for details.
Just copy-paste the two lines mentioned there, and see if it works.
My latest-patch links are updated to include an updated v2.4 with that addition.
I'll see about upgrading the P&N classic mod this weekend.

Re: P&N testers wanted
Have you updated the 2.4 on PBW. It is the old one that doesn't work with the new patch.
