MP scenerio- Death Ground
A while back I tried to make a scnerio for PBW based on _In Death Ground_. It flopped for a number of reasons, but I didn't -quite- give up. I've got a functioning one now, though I had the change things a bit.
The setup is like this:
The map is FQM, standard paridise. Fairly large.
No Surrender, No Stellar Manipulation, using the History of the Galaxy mod- which eliminates solar panels and quantum reactors, as well as a few other changes.
Three AI empires have been allowed to grow for 104 turns. Research was slowed a bit so they're not -that- highly advanced, but they're much bigger than you. Worse, they're set to Team Mode. Then again, they've got a problem. The Bugs are here, and they aren't happy. That's my race. I've done my best to replicate the kinds of battles _In Death Ground_ has, and so far so good.
Unlike _In Death Ground_, though, you're a bit player. Four races need players. They have only one planet each, the homeworld. Can you build your empire enough to survive the coming onslaught? Time to find out.
Available races:
Eee
Jraenar
Phong
Praetorians
I'll make the game on PBW if we get all four slots filled.

I just finished a game - this sounds interesting. I'll take the EEE.

Re: MP scenerio- Death Ground
I should point out that the Eee have been somewhat modifed in that they DON'T have Ancient Race any more. Assuming Rextorres doesn't want to switch after that, the available races are:
Jraenar
Phong
Praetorians
EDIT: these are mostly AI races using base SE4, built on the 5000 point empire plan. A few minor adjustments here and there.

Re: MP scenerio- Death Ground
As long as their new advanced trait isn't Lucky I don't have a problem with that.

Re: MP scenerio- Death Ground
No, I'm not. The Eee have Advanced Supply Conservation and Mechanoids; Superior Intelligence, Superior Reproduction, Enhanced Happyness, Enchanced Mining, Superior Refining, and Superior repair (as I said, these are more or less the default races on the 5000-point scale). Second closest to the AI.
The Jraenar have Natural Merchants, Hardy Industrialists, Superior Strength, Superior Intelligence, Superior Cunning (did I mention intel is OFF?), Superior Aggressiveness, Impessive Defensiveness. They're also the closest to the aggressive AI races and the Xi'Chung.
The Phong have Natural Merchants, Advanced Storage Techniques, and Crystallurgy; Superior Mining, Superior Refining, Superior Construction. Farthest from the AI.
The Praetorians have Advanced Power Conservation and Natural Merchants. Superior Mining, Superior Organics, Superior Radioactives, Superior Construction, Superior Repair, Impessive Maintance. Third farthest.
I probably should have given the Eee natural merchants.
The game was designed with player cooperation in mind; you don't *have* to cooperate with each other, but if you don't things will be harder.

You know, I wonder if that isn't a bug, but no-one has reported it because we didn't realize it was a mistake.
AFAIK, the Eee are the only race in the stock game that changes Advanced Traits between Race Option 1 and 2. (Many add a trait, but nobody else loses one.)
