Propostion of new type of drone USV inside game
Unnamed Surface Vehicle
Just d'like to propose such type of drone inside game. If you look on this article they will be a next thing after proliferation of UAV on battlefields. But question to discussion is how usefully such vehicles will be in case of SPMBT playfield where we haven't big ships on map. Only as a off-map artillery?

Re: Propostion of new type of drone USV inside game
Yes, this game is land warfare and not naval.
Now - one could make a scenario and tweak some existing boat (size zero say) and set it at night as a harbour attack and lad the boat with an explosives class weapon like a suicide truck bomb. Human would lkely need to play the boat side as the AI would have absolutely no clue what to do. But that is a sub-niche interest scenario and likely not particularly interesting to play, really.
But its not going to make an appearance on any OOB as it is so ultra-niche as to be useless and a waste of a unit slot, and a formation to hold it as well. Roll your own using the scenario editor if it is needed for the sort of scenario I just suggested.

Re: Propostion of new type of drone USV inside game
Agree with all, however there is wisdom in Andys recommendation.
Since Suhiir is back with us, I seem to remember several years back someone (Mark Shepard-maybe?) was trying to build a scenario involving USMC (Europe-MAYBE?) and trying to model an LHP for a helicopter assault as part of the scenario.

If she's in the mood , she might remember or kept notes (?) on the topic. Don't know what happened with it, but it MIGHT provide some useful data in modeling your REQUEST.
Otherwise, it should be in the Scenario Thread somewhere ~8yrs. back.
Regards,
Pat

Re: Propostion of new type of drone USV inside game
Problem is there's no real way to simulate a ship in WinSPMBT, nor should we ever expect one.
You could sorta-kinda create something that can represent a ship but it wouldn't be easy and you'd REALLY have to be familiar with the editor and game mechanics.

Scorpio Rocks sorry I couldn't remember that it was you trying to get that to work but, more importantly to me, I'm just glad that my " ~8yrs. ago" was close enough for " Government Work" concerning your post.
Good to know my internal computer system is still functioning properly!!
