Well, I haven't been able to run Land of Legends for a couple of years now. I saw that someone suggested using a virtual machine so I downloaded Virtual Box.

After installing it and messing around with it for a while I finally got it to run on my Windows 7 machine. It's about time. My 8 and 6 year old sons love to play it but I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work anymore.
Anyway, after installing Virtual Box and figuring out how it worked, then installing NetFrame 1.1, then enabling the Directx and then enabling the Direct3D I finally got it to run. I just played a whole game through without trouble.
I used a really old version, I mean really old, of Windows XP that had service pack 2 on it as the Virtual Box OS. I meant to use my original Windows XP disk that didn't have any service packs on it but I used the my SP2 disk by mistake but it worked great anyway.
For everyone that was having trouble with it starting to load and then crashing, this fixed it.
