Dom3 or Dom2
Hi all,
I have a strange question, I purchased DOM2 right before I moved and the game got lost in some of my boxes, I found it this weekend and we getting ready to play and realized that the sequel was out. I'm not sure If I should play DOM2 or order DOM3.
I would love to hear some oppinions from the people that have played them both.

If you are just going to play SP, you are probably fine with Dom2. You will be missing a lot of the new content and a couple of useful micromanagment tools. But otherwise the gameplay is really similar.
If you want to play MP I would think that Dom3 would be required. Does anyone still play Dom2 MP?

If you want more content, Dom3.
If you're happy with what you have in terms of content, stick with dom2. They are very similar, just one has loads more content and an active community.

Re: Dom3 or Dom2
You and your friends should buy Dominions 3. In fact, buy several copies each and scatter them around the house. That way, in the event that one goes missing like what happened with Dom2, you'll have back up copies at your disposal.
While you already know Dom3 is a great game by the numerous reviews and the friendly folks on the forum, you should also know that players of Dom3 have experienced: massive increases to the opposite sex being attracted to them, radiant thick hair, amazing wealth, and the ability to bring peace to mankind.

Also you know that feeling you get if you don't brush your teeth and they feel a bit furry almost?
You'll never get that with dom3.

Re: Dom3 or Dom2
Try the demo. If you like the changes to the user interface, you should consider it. If you don't like the new interface, stay with DomII.
The demo has... I think all the nation the demo has are new, in fact. Golden Era Arcoscephale is close to what it used to be, but the other races I remember are included are either new (Kailasa, Agartha), early Atlantians are very different from the ones you are used to...

I agree. The Dom3 demo is your best bet for helping you to decide.

Hmm, I didn't experience any of this. I probably should buy some new copies...

Re: Dom3 or Dom2
There's no way I could go back to Dom2, multiplayer and content notwithstanding. There are so many little things like automatic site-searching and interface changes I'm used to that make Dom3 such a better experience.
