Digital Eel Opens Up The Brainpipe!
A Psychedelic Endurance Run Through Your Third Eye!
Hampstead, NC, 24 December 2008
Brainpipe, from the wild and weird minds of Digital Eel, is a game about transcendentalism, unhumanity, ganglia, and Jonathan Winters. It is a game that answers the question, "If Timothy Leary had designed a computer game, what would it look like?" Unfortunately it does not answer the question, "Why do drive-up ATMs have Braille keypads?"
Brainpipe is a mindblowing virtual trip through your subconscious, rendered in bedazzling three dimensions and made possible through your computer. Using a one click interface and rated 33.13-TOXIC on the Pangborn scale, Brainpipe commands you to navigate the twisted passages of the mind in your ultimate quest to awaken your inner self and become more than human.
Experience your mind's eye from the first person perspective, swooping through its glowing neon tunnels (who knew the subconscious looked so much like Las Vegas on acid?) while collecting glowing glyphs and avoiding dangers that will shatter your psyche and unleash the dreaded brain drain--whereupon your skull implodes. Imploding skulls are usually never enjoyable, so try to avoid the bad things, 'kay?
Published by Shrapnel Games (and as publisher we feel it is our duty to warn you that after prolonged exposure to Brainpipe many testers found that reality was a pale shade of what Brainpipe offered, creating an addiction that was only kept in check by seeing if their previous high score could be beat) Brainpipe is available as an immediate download for Windows. Fear not Mac users, with your much cooler television commercials (Mojave experiment? Really Bill, that's the best marketing billions of dollars buys you?), a Mac version is in the works and will be available soon.
Of course all this talk about glowing glyphs, navigating your mind, and Jonathan Winters may be leaving you going, "Hunh?" Or perhaps, "What?" Maybe even, "Corn flakes!" So strap yourself in, grab the demo, and let the Brainpipe flow! Download it by heading on over to the Brainpipe game page here:
