Lock \'n Load at Origins!
Lock 'n Load owners...If you haven't already, install VLnL and the patch from our site (or Shrapnel), and meet us Online for a game. We had 6-7 people on the server Last night ready to play. That's pretty good considering ASL has been out for 10-12 years and only gets about twice that number on their VASSAL server. Better still, I think that number will jump after Origins. We're hoping to spread the LnL gospel there.
Tim Brooks and Shrapnel games are ready to go. They are giving away 5,000 LnL bumper stickers, running a looping Version of the Flash macromedia demo, stringing banners, the works. It's really a super effort on their part, and I appreciate it. We'll be in booth 360 folks. Y'all drop by.
Best, Mark

Re: Lock \'n Load at Origins!
Hi Guys,
I can't tell you how much fun we had at Origins or what a GREAT job the Shrapnel staff did with promoting the game. We ran an impromtu tournament Saturday night and had 12 participants. That's more than most of the scheduled war game tourney's had. We are so jazzed about this game.
If you likie tactical war games, I think you'll like Lock 'n Load.
Best,
Mark

Hi Mark!
It was great to see you there! I also saw a number of pickup games in and around the wargames room. All in all, I'd say the word about Lock 'n' Load leaked out!

Yeah, I agree. It was good to see everyone playing. What scenario seemed to be the favorite?
Best,
Mark

Re: Lock \'n Load at Origins!
I'm afraid I don't really know, I just got the game myself. Sorry.

Re: Lock \'n Load at Origins!
No Problem. Most folks like the first scenario --A Friend in Need quite a bit. It's simple, yet it's challenging. To top it off, it has a neat little twist half-way into the scenario. I think it's good fun.
In fact I played Jim Werbaneth --editor of Line of Departure-- to a draw Last night in A Friend in Need. A good time was had by all.
Best,
Mark
