Gumbian shipset now available at PBW
I've posted my Gumbian shipset on PBW, it's the Generic shipset modified with Gumbian population, troops, and race portrait. The default flag is the real-world Gambian flag, but there's an alternative main graphic and race potrait included that uses a different flag. The AI settings are from Atrocities' United Flora race with some minor modifications. Feel free to use the Gumbian graphics with other shipsets.

Wish I had the time to start a PBW game where the players took the Gumbians, Pinky and the Brain, Lego set, etc...
And Rolplayed them
And Wrote it up.
Hmm, I wonder how many folks here remember Gumby and Pokey?

Heh. I remember them. I didn't watch too much of them as they were sorta dying off as I started watching TV more. But I do remember them and having some of their toys.

I have no idea who (what?) Gumby and Pokey are. From the thread title though, I thought it would be a shipset based on Mr Gumby from Monty Python.
Heheh... imagine the speech file:
*MY BRAIN HURTS!
*SHUT UP MR GUMBY!
*OOOWWWWWW!

Well, first off, the Gumbians natural enemies would have to be the blockheads. Unfortunately, they would resemble the Borg too much, and you would be sued by the Star Trek people, or atrocities.
Next, their ships would have to be made from toy materials, that look cool, but certainly have a hard time standing up to bLaster fire.
For their battle cry, you could use Eddie Murphy from Saturday Night Live shouting "I'm Gumby, damnit!", but I think that would get old pretty darn quick.
Best if the whole thing were avoided.

They were also made into cute but very dangerous toys. Made from some sort of rubber with wires in side so they would hold the shape they were bent to. Problem was these wires would eventualy poke through the rubber and start hurting the kids. I think it was one of the first toys to be taken off the market. That was the year Lawn Darts came and went
