.. unless the driver doesn't let you set the refresh rate for OpenGL apps seperatly, as it is the case with my Ge2Ti .. I could do that for DX apps, but not for openGl, no. And DOM2 does not set the refresh rate for itself ...
I'm using NVRefreshTool with mixed results .. sometimes it works, sometimes not.
But I found running in windowed mode with high resolution (nearly equal to the desktop) suits me bests - I could switch to other apps (ZIP for backing up turns, notepad etc. .. ) easily without running into the "swapped graphics" bug.
Unless watching mega battles, the speed hit isn't that noticable ...

As for AI the most effective work around to this problem so far is to simply use an American instead, they tend to put up a bit more of a fight than your average Artificial Idiot.
