Magic Item Quick Reference for Dom 3?
I'm coming off a nearly 2-year long hiatus from Dominions (yay!) and was wondering if there's an updated version of Zen's incredibly useful MIQR PDF. I have the Excel databases but what was so great about Zen's PDFs is use of the icons.

Re: Magic Item Quick Reference for Dom 3?
Heya Morkilus! I'm glad to be back. I've just joined a newb/amateur Dom3 game with the guys over at quartertothree.com to ease my way back. I can't believe it's been nearly 2 years...
Anyway, hope to see you on the battlefield soon (on my side, of course).

No update for that. We haven't seen Zen here for months. The only reference material for Dom3 so far is the Dom3 DB, which is admittedly rather unwieldy for what you are looking for.

On the other hand, the original spreadsheet for that PDF still exists and could be updated by someone who has the dedication to do so. I received it on the IRC channel by someone, I forgot who it was... Maybe Evilhomer or Folket, I don't know.

If I can get a copy of the original spreadsheet, I'd be happy to update the PDF.

Re: Magic Item Quick Reference for Dom 3?
I've started doing the update and I'm wondering what the special property "On Targets" means in the Dom3 manual. For instance, Smasher has the special prop "On Targets: Crusherknack".
Initially I thought it was the same as "On hit", which is self-explanatory, but there are references to "On hit" as well.
Anybody have any idea? I'm assuming it means that actually "hitting" your target isn't necessary for the effect to fire. Maybe you must actually target an area or unit, perhaps...

Re: Magic Item Quick Reference for Dom 3?
It is probably the same as "on hit", unless there is some way to determine that it actually uses a different flag. If you look at actual weapon data, Smasher has crusherknack as secondaryeffect, which means it only affects the target on hit. If it were a secondaryeffectalways type of extra effect, then it would hit regardless of whether the smasher blow hit or missed.
I don't know if you have looked at the Dom3 DB, but it has a page with the data on magic items, so you may find some useful information in there. It is substantially expanded from the Dom2 DB, so much so that the two documents have fairly little in common besides the naming conventions.
