Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Thank you very much.

Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
I need to go away for 4 day, so I have extended the current turn timer to 96 hours, I also submitted my current turn, hopefully by the time im back everyone would have submitted the next turn as well so that we dont prolongue the game too much and I will revert the timer back to 48h after that.

Cool, thanks bbz.

Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Guys, I'm not sure If I'm the only one that got this message, I will have to double check to see what happened. But apparently I had an unexplained increase in wealth which might come from cheating>???
Edit: my treasury supply seems to be ok, no increase there. Edit2: I also seem to have -12 nature gems wtf? Edit3: Ok I see what the problem seems to be. I ordered one of my guys to forge the chalice last turn. Usually that artifact costs 40 nature gems and 25 astral gems. And I had that covered last turn. Although I guess due to the mod the cost of this artifact was changed to 40 nature gems and 25 more nature gems.(not sure if it was intentional). I will check in the debug mod to play around with it. and see what happens. edit: you are able to forge the chalice with fewer resources than what you have.(due to the change/bug in the gem cost). Now I have to options: since I dont like to cheat. 1.trade up my astral gems into nature gems so that I dont have a negative nature gems and I get the ammount of nature gems that I get per turn which is +6 (I would have been able to do that the last turn as well If I had noticed that). 2. discard the chalice and forge it again.(I feel that thats gonna be a bit unfair on me but its your call guys). 3. I roll-back the turn. Submit only my turn (since I'm not in a war with anyone I cannot abuse the roll-back and see ifno one gets a: player bbz has cheated message(hopefully). Turns that have been submitted for the previous turn should be the same. Although the random generator might change the outcome of some of the battles that you guys had(if you had any) So its up to you guys to decide what to do. P.s Options 1 and 2 rely on the chalice being the only reason for the cheating. So I feel that roll-back might be the best option.(if there is some other reason for the cheat message that I have missed) But option 3 might change the outcome of some of the battles. So let me know what you guys want to do Until then the game is suspended (I will extend the turn if there is a need to and the issue is not resolved by then. |
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
If none of you guys had a game winning/loosing battles I'd rather redo the turn. To make sure that that was the only problem.
I've sent email to all. So hopefully we can get replys soon and get the game running as normal shortly after. |
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
I wouldn't mind a rollback myself as nothing of note has really happened as of yet other then Lanka still refusing to die :(. So that's my opinion on the matter.
|
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Ok just to let you know. doing the roll back wouldnt involve any of you submitting a turn(I think llama server keeps the previously submitted turns in its database. So only I will submit a turn and then force hosting this way we get the new turn and everyone has submitted a turn.) So no extra micro will be required from you guys.
Although you will have to submit the current turn 50(for those who have already submitted it) again. |
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
My suggestion would be to just alchemise the pearls, roll backs almost always cause problems.
On a side note, apparently the chalice is not unique in this mod, since there is already one sitting in my lab. Would have been nice to know that before I forged it, as it was purely a denial move. |

Ok I will hear some more suggestions to see how people feel about it and then let you all know what my decision is.(P.s I know about the urban legend that roll-backs cause problems, but out of the 5 games I had 2 of them had a few roll-back and it worked out O.K without bugs) Still risking the whole game might not be a good idea. |

Seems like there is a mod issue, such is life! It will be amusing to have numerous chalices doing the rounds, though :-) |
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
I may be on the way out, but just carry on. If you feel bad about getting an interest-free loan of nature gems, just alchemize some pearls to make up for the deficit. The chalice is non-unique and costs 65 nature gems in this mod.
|
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
:) Ok seems like the majority of you want to get on with the game. So be it. I alchemised to get +6 nature gems. Thx all for the replys.:)

Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Game on!

Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]

I hate roll backs because of the supposed errors/dead games it causes but never had direct evidence of it. Thx Nightfall now I can quote someone with real experience.

Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Time for little mocking. Basicly, Niefelheim decided to wrote Maverni funny messsages the last turns, obviously ignoring the fact that i had to fight IMBALANCE.
Anyways, this is the army he brought this turn. http://prntscr.com/d25ox A hero, several thug'd Jarls and recruit Sacreds, well equipped. Just an example. http://prntscr.com/d25s9 This is what happened. http://prntscr.com/d25ti Let it be a warning to any fool trespassing Maverni. While we hold only few land, it is sacred to us and will be defended with claw and teeth if necesarry. Tonight, we shall drink met from the skulls of Niefelheim. |
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Yep, I'm done for. The only good news is that Pan is going to be the guy who captures all my land instead of Marverni, which makes me very happy :D
|
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
You dont seem to have scouts around. Im dead since 15 turns, only using recruited armies and researching stuff. I would not be able to capture anything at all :D

I think not having score graphs on changed things a lot, though - in a game with graphs everyone would have seen I had no research / income / gems and I would have been killed a lot earlier. So I think I like the idea of playing without score graphs! |

It would be nice if the person with the administrator privileges for the game could change Klaus email to mine. It's simply my forum name at gmail dot com. Thanks.

Oh, well... Oceania started a war against me, breaking a NAP with OVER 9000 tidal waves.

Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Harpies are dangerous. Oceania, fear me! :)))
|
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Im pretty sure i had a NAP with Oceania since WAY back that just got broken without formally ending it. Not that it matters, but it aint nice one bit Nightfall.
|
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Nope... Only formed 2 NAP's all game, and your definately not one of them, one is still in effect and one of them was illegitimately breeched by the other party.
Your blatant lies are not appreciated. |
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
It is no lie. Im pretty sure we had a NAP going on since way back, turn 15 or so. But its no problem.
|
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
It is a problem, just not in the the way you think...
There has never been a NAP between us; there has never even been a NAP proposed between us. I have every private message since the start of this game saved. The only private message I have had from you the entire game is a query about purchasing a water booster from me. You are a complete and utter douchebag, I'm not the only person in this game that thinks so, and everyone in the community needs to know it... //Final Straw |

Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
What most people fail to appreciate is that Ragnarok-X owns a Dr Who style Tardis, which he frequently uses both to change the past and also to travel to alternate dimensions.
This can lead to confusion, as when you discover either that you have apparently been cheating (say, by having PD that gives you darkness with CBM1.92 Agartha), or indeed that you have a NAP with him that you don't remember signing and have no evidence of. In this case, I dare say what has happened is that in an alternate version of this universe a version of you (possibly also a cyborg pirate living on one of the moons of Saturn) DID sign a NAP with the Raggster - but due to a schism in the time-space continuum, all evidence of said NAP has been lost. Apart from the single, priceless memory in Raggy Baby's head. So rather than being upset, we should be thanking Ragnarok-X for being such a beacon of hope and learning in this otherwise sad and empty universe, by sharing his memories and experiences with us. On behalf of us all, thanks Raggie - I can honestly say, the game wouldn't be the same without you! |
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
I didn't have time to review the earlier turns, but was going to. No need to now, because I could have sworn The Ones from beneath the waves had invaded much earlier in the game provinces belonging to Marveni. Nightfall has just confirmed my memory hasn't failed me.
Holding breath now for the forthcoming apology to Nightfall from Rag X... Holding....holding......holding...damn I had to take a breath! |
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Eh. wtf. Jimbo and Holey are angry because their game got screwed ?
|
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Then I must get angry a lot, because I rarely do well, but have a hell of a time playing, specially against the likes of you Rag X.
Oh wait, no apology..........now how did I know there was never going to be one? Thats because Rag X is a total.......(you fill in the blanks). |

Now I have to go and change my pants!!!!!!! |
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Whoops, Mavernis Capitol is now under triton control.
|
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
I´ve watched your last stand at Marverni and must admit you fought a heroic battle.
|
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Heroic it was. I was hoping the Gifts would by accident hit a Triton King, but instead all i got was stupid cavemen and soulless. More luck next time, maybe.

Both approaching 20 stales each too, so it's probably a lot more then that... |
Re: Newbie/Intermediate FF game: A Totally Civil Union [send pretenders]
Also kind of curious how someone can be at war with a staling player for multiple turns without saying something...
