I'd rather not have a player stale twice in a row at this stage of the game if I can help it.

The few people who still have to submit their turn: Unless you have a good reason for delay, don't wait till the new dealine please.

Quoting myself again for bonus points. Except this time I'm postponing till tomorrow morning. (going to bed now) Hopefully by then the situation will have resolved itself. If not, all I will be able to do in those few minutes before I leave for work is to extend the timer again, so I hope that won't prove necessary.

Whatever the reason (Haven't heard from Ferrosol yet) his turn is now in, so once again we're on the road without me having to expend too much effort. (The last part of that sentence obviously being the most important. ;)) Hurrah for idleness!

Re: Troubling Times: Large EA CBM Game (Started)

Well, Verjigorm's camping trip is comming up this weekend. I think the best way to deal with this without inconveniencing everyone else is to finish this turn normally, and then have the next two turns at 48h no quickhost. (Hosting times will then be 14h55 (Llamaserver=GMT time) on friday, sunday and tuesday) After which we can return to 24h. (I'm guessing we're all still good for 24h turnaround for a bit longer?)

Verjigorm, will this hosting arrangement allow you to submit all turns? (One friday afternoon and the other monday evening/tuesday morning.)

One tiny little problem though: I'm going to be out of town myself from Friday till Saturday, (no internet access either) and might be back home just too late to extend the timer myself. So, looking for a volunteer to do that for me. Anyone intrested just let me know and I'll forward the Master Password. (Warning: Do not volunteer if you don't consider yourself trustworthy. ;))

Hi guys !

1 - can I have an extension for the next turn ? (scheduled 14h55 GMT, +6 hours would be great for I am not at home this evening and I may be short of time tomorrow morning)

2 - I can sub you for the admin if you want. But the simpler the better : just extend the turn to Saturday ;)

Re: Troubling Times: Large EA CBM Game (Started)

I have no problems with slower hosting etc for one weekend. I can even survive no hosting, if it prevents any staling/mess that could happen otherwise.

I had hoped to avoid that, since Grijalva won't be able to play a turn before leaving if hosting is delayed too much. Still, if you need 6 more hours, you need 6 more hours, n'est ce pas?

I added 6 hours right now, and I'll PM you the password. If Grijalva manages to play the next turn before leaving, then we extend the two weekend turns with 24 hours, if he doesn't then I guess we all have a weekend without homework. ;)

!! Notice of Absence !!

As previously indicated, I will not have access to a computer starting 12pm CDT Saturday Sept. 4th through around 6pm CDT Monday September 6th as I am going camping over the Labor Day weekend.

Additionally, I am noticing that it is taking a really long time to get diplomacy responses done within the turn time frames and I would like to request that the turns be permanently extended to either 36 or 48 hours.

Thank you,

~ Verjigorm

Ha, I recruited an old-age mage just as that "old-age affliction" turn in winter hits: He had great picks, but started with disease AND...mute!

I was about to ask how people felt about it after this leasurely weekend. :)

Since there's two people who requested it already I will indeed change it to 48h.

Also: Damn! I submitted an updated turn just after hosting. Couldn't you stay camping 10 minutes longer Verjiform? ;) Hope it doesn't cost me. I'm off to look at my turn.

Heh. :)

I would have liked to keep it on 24 a few more turns myself, I have to admit, but what you gonna do. I do hate intervals that aren't multiples of 24h though, it totally screws up my sence of timing.

Nah, it does not. And it's much better for those that can manage 24h anyway. Try 36h, until people complain :P

Bolded the relevant part. Though if you insist I can put it on 36h now, and complain about it tomorrow, after which the game's admin will add 12 more hours. :D

I'm looking to trade for one or two water boosters. Preferably the rings since they're cheaper, but if no one has reached const. 6 yet, the robes will do. I'd prefer to pay in W, N and or F gems.

It's not a ring, it's a bracelet. :P

Just a question of scale. I'm deliberately caling it a ring, since I assume it'll be like Atlantis or Niefelheim who can forge this for me. By asking for a ring I'm assuring it'll fit nicely around my thin bony wrists. :D

Greetings fellow rulers, I, Squirrelloid, have usurped Zeldor's throne. Fortunately he left copious notes of his various agreements, however brief, and I am inclined to honor all treaties, trading agreements, and other miscellania. However, because these notes are brief, I may inadvertently fail to make good on an agreement due to ignorance of all its conditions. If you have made agreements with the former exiled ruler that involve immediate actions on my part, do please contact me (by PM or IRC) so i can make this coup a smooth and painless one.

So, uh... as a -sub- revolutionary leader, the cartography department seems to have left with the previous ruler. We are anxious to begin implementing our new revolutionary policies, but we can't seem to find a map of the world. This has thus far hampered any substantive discussion. No news from Abysia here despite 2 MP waiting to be read. I hope all is OK for him.

@Ferrosol : those were not real Wind Riders, as you may have already guessed.
I was only experimenting a mutation spell cast on some big flies my scouts found in your former marshes.

Success ! Nobody (almost) noticed the difference before the fight comes to contact.

Now, my next experiment is : try to disguise Wind Riders into big flies and release the swarm on whatever hostile nation around. My astrologers foresee a lot of fun ^^
