Have You Ever Wondered

Have you ever wondered what kinds of emails Aaron Hall might get from people who have questions, comments, or other regarding SE IV?

Here are some likely ones.

1. I cannot find the patch to upgrade SEIII to SEIV!
2. What does SEIV Stand for?
3. When I click on the icon to play the game, a DOS game loads, whats up with that?
4. Wheres the 3d combat simulator?
5. How do I mod the game?
6. What does the Load button do?
7. Why did you name it Space Empires IV?
8. I can't find your game in any stores! How do I buy it?
9. HEY THIS IS NOT MOO3!
10. Man this game is great. Can I copy it and give it to my friends?
11. The purpose of this email is to complain about your programing staff. They failed to take into account the actual phyisics of a worm hole.
12. You programed this game by your self?
13. Why can't I put facilities on my ships?
14. My Colonies have no populations, WTF is wrong with this game man?
15. I accidently blew up my own star in my game, how do I undo that?

You guys... I will bet most of the emails he gets are bug reports and what nots. My attempt at humor was misguided and I do apologise. No more lists from Atrocities.

Hey, I like this attempt at humor. We just appear to have hijacked it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

The forum would be less interesting without the occasional AT list. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

23. Why are Baseships so slow? Can't they mount over a hundred engines if they have a ship that size? It should be able to move faster than light!

There are some thing's A fleet of Baseships can't achieve...
For Everything Else there is Overkill

If those have no combat sensors, then I'll just pop a few of my ships with -110 to hit.

narf poit chez BOOM February 14th, 2005 04:42 PM

Re: Have You Ever Wondered

Of course they have combat sensor's. Otherwise they couldn't hit anything at 24.6LM.

And what about all the other ones?

And when your enemies have fleets numbering in the millions, there's no such thing as overkill.

Now, go over to the Baen website and buy 'Empire From the Ashes' for a good read of Weber's early work. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif
