The Next Big Thing
 
What will be the next big thing to happen for SEIV? How many new mods, ship sets, data improvements, etc will be released?

Any new ideas for the game? What is the current status on active projects? What about the latest news on the next patch?

There might be a new patch in this year if Aaron finds time to compile one fit for release - his new project sucks up all the time to get it to beta. This year or not, their will be a new patch for sure. Maybe end of January if this year isn't possible.

I am finally free - well - sort of. At least I don't have any more exams or school garbage to deal with. Just a week or so of work in the next three weeks. So that means I'm going to be spending a lot of time on the mod. I am really hoping to get some stuff out to test by the New Year!

I'm on winter break and it looks like MOO3 won't be coming out this year http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif so I'll probably have lots of time to work on my Xeo and MOO2 mods... of course, knowing me, I won't actually get anything done, or I'll only add more useless features (Holy Photon Grenade of Antioch anyone? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif ), or I'll start some other stupid project... so in short, don't expect anything from me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

I'll probably release Proportions 2.5.2 fairly soon, but it probably won't contain a whole lot, as there are existing PBW games and people have started to get more bothered than pleased by changes to their games in progress.

Proportions 3.0 would be the next Version after that, but I'm not decided on what to put in it yet. Too many ideas, too little time.

Working on a Fantasy Mod, and I'm closing in on finishing components.txt. Should get some quality time in on this project over the break.

Playable races will be Orcs, Elves, and Undead...

I have 3 projects in the pipelineright now, although none of them are particularly grand.

1> Othaglot & Cane - expect another chapter or 2 very soon.
2> The Neo-expansion pack. Currently in the fledgeling stages, but hopefully it will start to take off soon.
3> My new shipset, the KanesS. 2D/ 3D hybrid. Currently... ooo... 10% completed.

I am working on a Starfire mod, though in reality it will likely not be enough starfire-like to retain that title. I am about 60% finished, just ironing out the components and tech tree, while starting into the AI.
