Ejecting Players
You're in a game in which one player has stopped submitting turns and doesn't answer email Queries. Everyone in the game agrees that the position should become an AI.
How do you do this without knowing the player's password? |
Re: Ejecting Players
Everyone??? Did I agree? Am I in the game? IS IT ME???
Well, probably not=) Hmmmmmm, I thought that sort of thing was easy from the host's end. |
Re: Ejecting Players
You must have the password in order to turn someone into an AI player.

Re: Ejecting Players
I see. How should one handle dropout players, then?

Re: Ejecting Players
You could always have folks give their passwords to someone on this board. Maybe Gandalf Parker if he is willing to do this...he seems to do a lot for the community.
Then the person would be contacted and if they don't reply the person having the password could, without giving you the password, convert the player to AI. Just a thought. But it requires someone willing to help in this fashion. |

At first I thought you were mentioning me becaue of my fill-in functions in Dom1. I think I started about 6 MP games, but I did fill-in duty in 23. I like that challenge. Playing with what is given me. Close to my random map games. (plus the pressure was off since no one expected me to win) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif [ December 01, 2003, 15:07: Message edited by: Gandalf Parker ] |
