Dominions disappearing?
 

Unless I'm just imagining I'm seeing it this must have been asked before but I couldn't find it. Sometimes I can and sometimes I can't see what my dominion level is in a neighboring province.

In my current game as Man/Tuatha, I have a bard and 2 monks in the province next to one where I have my prophet and pretender. I'd like to see the dominion before I go wading in with my army, but even with religious scouts and hitting province info I get no info on the current dominion level there, and there's no candle showing, not even the white candle with no flame which is 0. Also, I'm almost positive there is a fairly high enemy dominion there as it's right next to Tien Chi's capital and it has a temple. Yet at other times I have no problems seeing the current dominion in an enemy province and I would think this would be the norm. Is this something I'm doing wrong, a special ability of the Tien Chi nation which I've never played, a bug, is there simply a better chance with more scouts, or am I just an idiot? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Never mind, think I figured it out myself. You can only see the dominion in a province that is next to a province where you have positive dominion. In this case even though my pretender a temple and prophet were all there, the dominion was exactly 0 that turn. Next turn the dominion went to 2, and then I could see it again. I was confused because the turn before, the province my pretender is in was 1, it went down to 0 due to the highly negative surrounding dominions and temples.

Personally, I'd like to be able to see the dominions in all provinces that are next to provinces where I have positive dominion (as it is now) and also all dominions next to provinces I control (which it apparently is not). It just doesn't make sense to me that I don't know who my next door neighbors are worshipping. I'd also like to be able to see dominion in any province I have a scout, and certainly a scout with priest levels, it only makes sense. Ah well, at least I figured it out. If you want to see the dominion better, just cast Eyes of God. But beware of Fate of Oedipus....
