hydra production bug?
In a SP game I conquered the capital of MA pythium.
I can produce my (MA ermor) units in that fortress, the indie units and the smallest flavor of hydra (produced by the special pythium structure.. normally I cannot build the race specific units when taking capitols I think am I wrong? is this intentional? is this a bug? |
Re: hydra production bug?
Intentional.

Re: hydra production bug?
I noticed that MA Emor's capital lets you produce fire/blood mages and gryphon riders. If I were playing differently, I would think this is a huge boon.

It is a little odd that you get natural poptype recruitment from everywhere except your own capital. But it seems an unavoidable balance issue; if you got a random indep population at your starting fortress, some nation/poptype combos could provide a serious bonus at game start. |
Re: hydra production bug?
Well, that's strange.
So whenever you conquer someone else's capital, you gain the ability to produce local population types that they didn't have access to? Jazzepi |

why is this specific one intentional? it seems a bit strange IMHO. are there more like this?

Re: hydra production bug?
You can't ever recruit any enemy national troops from their capital or otherwise.
You can always recruit independent forces from any captured territory, including an enemy capital. |

am I wrong? is this intentional? is this a bug? Shuma.. please reread what I posted above (how I started the thread .. then compare with what you said.. and then wonder why I ASK IF IT"S a BUG --> In my game I can produce one of the enemy national troops (the smallest of the 3 hydra's of pythium) --> KO says it's intended.. I wonder why this is an exception to the rule you mention (and the rule I know) |
Re: hydra production bug?
It's not an exception to any rule, it is a reflection of what the developer felt was right at the time (and still feel i believe).
Oh, here is the explanation: http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...amp;Forum=f187 Scroll down a bit. |
