AT Guns under AI
 
Hi

I have an idea how to improve AI set-up without much effort.
Maybe the AI should set all its AT guns at the deployment phase with a filter to fire only at armored units.
That way their won't reveal their position so easy to the enemy infantry probing the area.

But then they wouldn't defend themselves from an infantry attack, or soft vehicles, IMO the current way it behaves is good enough. ATG will fire much more often at armor than soft.

In my experience, AT-guns under AI control only open fire on enemy infantry at very close ranges (3 hexes or so).

You're right. I've run with infantry at AT-gun ambushes at the side of the road, so that was my feeling for that battle.

This was changed to exactly what you ask, in the last patch.
Look at change #6 in the last patch annoucement sticky above:rolleyes:
