Re: Full Game Download?

I would just like to report that this did work, at least runnning as a command line server. Copy a complete windows install, apply the linux patch. You still need a serial key. As Gandalf says,...

Re: Full Game Download?

Thanks, Gandalf. I also have a friend with a disk that I can borrow this weekend. I just wanted to get something started before then server-wise.

Re: Oh, Perfidious Albion

I nominate Gandalf Parker's alter egos. They are the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human beings I've ever known in my life.

Re: Historical Question

"Dominions: Total War"

This one's not funny. The lack of a Dominions mod for Total War is a travesty.

Heck, I'd settle for being able to send my cavalry in a hook pattern or get them to run...

Re: OT: US President (US Dom Players only)

Don't agree much about this paragraph, interested in what mean by 'illegal operations'
[/quote]

Torture is illegal under US law and international law.

Unprovoked war is a crime against the...

Re: OT: US President (US Dom Players only)

Bush's illegal operations in his War on Terror will lead to the eventual dismantling of almost everything he has done, including compromising any cases to be made against terrorists.

Efforts...

Re: Greenrow: noobs, slowpace -- game on

I like to take my time, peruse the manual, contemplate different moves, enjoy myself. I'd rather miss a turn than rush through because a deadline looms.

Dominions is treat to be savored, not a...

Re: Orientalism in Dominions

<i>Any "true" Orient is completely irretrievable.</i>

Three points.

We're blessed by a great deal of literature from precolonial times in the Orient.

In mathematics, it's possible, once a...

Re: Greenrow: noobs, slowpace -- game on

I second what Tifone said about roleplaying and trustworthiness. There's no reason why I can't play a scrupulously honorable person this game and a scoundrel the next.

I've decided early on how...

Re: Greenrow: noobs, slowpace -- game on

I'm pretty shallow. I picked this map because I like the look of it.

Re: Greenrow: noobs, slowpace -- game on

No sweat. This game is made for people who can't play every day. I've got free time this week, but next week, who knows? I might have trouble getting two turns in.

Dumb noob question, but I've been all over Llamaserver, created a test game, and I can't figure out how to set the turn times on a new game. How do I do this?

I've a similar question about...
