Well, Gentoo isn't really that much behind with packages, but rather with marking the packages stable. I mean, media-libs/mesa has been sitting on 6.5.2-r1 for years now. Anyway, my xorg.conf is here...

Oh, right... I was going to suggest that first, but kind of got carried away. And it's not the whole system, just, uh, significant part of it. And Intel open video drivers got lots of improvements...

Weird... I don't think I have seen that sort of crash. Running out of memory/swap sometimes has similar results, but Dominions3 doesn't take that much for startup.

Anyway, I don't have anything...

For me Dominions3 runs with no problems on laptop with Gentoo, Intel GMA950 graphics, Xorg 7.2, Mesa 7.3 and xf86-video-intel 2.5.1-r1.

What do you mean exactly by "crashes"? In my experience most...

Works perfectly for me on Gentoo on a not-very-fast laptop with integrated Intel Graphics. So, as the posters above say, it is probably drivers.

Hello!

I joined the forum when I ordered Dominions 3, and since it finally arrived I might just as well post something... and after a mere week, which was better than I expected living in Poland....
