I still have Space Empires on my hard drive. It's just such an incredible game for all the reasons that you mentioned! It also has such a great ability to be modded easily like Dom2.

I was wondering if the magma ball was a bit underpowered -- during playtesting it seemed like he tossed it all over the place, but it didn't seem to do...

I've had a few generals get Feebleminded during my Last game, but they've always been healed after a while when Gift of Health was running.

I haven't tried it with my Pretender, though.

I played a lot of Star Frontiers a long, long time ago! For the life of me, I can't remember what the Dralasite ships looked like.
