Oh yea, I'm right there with you on that. Avernum 2 is a great game, it took me a while to like it, but once I was into it I was taken back by how rich the gameplay is. Many details.

I too have mixed feelings. I think the bottom line for me is that I do not like the combat. I becomes a right-click frenzy - not much role playing there. I personally have never cared for real time...
