Thanks for the help! I now have a working mouse!
BTW, what did it for me was turning down the hardware acceleration (not one notch, but two...all the way down to `basic' acceleration only...)

Help! Mouse not displayed!
I successfully (?!) installed the demo for Dom 2 on my `old' machine (P3 550, Voodoo3 card)...
However, I can't see the mouse on the screen! It IS active, because if I move it around blindly I can...
