Re: A Word of Praise for Dutchie

Re: Super snipers???

I think it's not so unusual to have that effectiveness in Snipers. Imagine a man, alone, undetected, with all the time to aim and shoot at the easiest target of an infantry squad...

On the other...

Re: Got a Minute? Make that 15! Tank Fight

Managed a marginal victory, very good "lunch break" scenario, i only lost one tank to mech infantry hidden in the smoke...always look where you put your step...

Re: Assault on Limbang 12/1962

In the old SPMBT there was a Limbang scenario, and i enjoyed that one very much. I was happy someone creating a new scenario on that situation.

Achieved yesterday night a Decisive Victory.
An...

Re: \"Dream of ALL Comrades\" scenario

That's a crazy scenario! I achieved a draw, i had my paras wiped out in the counterattack, i was unable to set up a proper perimeter around the White House...

Re: tanks vs rpg\'s

Because a lucky rear or side shot (maybe when you're manouvering to get out of an ambush) can happen...

Re: Is airpower useful in WinSPMBT?

I think that people sometimes take SPMBT (and wargaming) too seriously...it's probably your (you SPCAMO) fault, you make such fine games that people get carried a bit too much...

Re: It Begins! - A New Scenario by Wild Bill Wilde

Thanks for the kind words.
I also noted one more thing, replaying it to achieve a decisive victory. The Helo ATGMs are quite effective against tanks, but totally unuseful against the BRDMs, SPSAMs...

I finally found time to play this scenario. Let's cut it short, it's great.
I love fast, small scenario, where planning and deploying unit it's just made on opportunity and on what the enemy lets...

Re: Is airpower useful in WinSPMBT?

For me, the only real use of aircrafts are in anti-personnel and anti light targets, with CBUs and such area weapons. Direct hits with Mavericks and similar are simply not worth the cost, too many...

Re: Tactical or normal nuke modelling

The issue has been discussed extensively (and quite often) on the old SPMBT mailing list.
The conclusion was always the same. The scale of SPMBT doesn't allow the modelling of a tactical nuke...
