Never tried it myself, but yes, I've seen it pretty reliably confirmed that this is a thing. Not sure though, but I believe they're actually at lvl 12, so you'd have to have enough research to go...

Yeah. It's too bad, because I think the map looks absolutely gorgeous, but the geography really doesn't lend itself to competitive MP. (The southern half even more so than the northern one)
