Re: Immaculate-002: Late Age for Noobs (now in the mid-game)

Glad to hear that; I just came on to express my puzzlement at receiving a reminder when I've been knocked out!

Re: Immaculate-002: Late Age for Noobs (now in the mid-game)

Thanks Immaculate. I did try my best to hinder you with curse spells and so on - go down fighting rather than just give up - but I had no answer to your Ancestor Smiths and suchlike. I'd hoped my...

Re: Immaculate-002: Late Age for Noobs (now in the mid-game)

Sorry I didn't participate more fully, though I think I managed to get most of my turns in at least. To be honest I found the micro-managing overwhelming. Thanks for letting me play and I apologise...

Re: Immaculate-002: Late Age for Noobs (now in the mid-game)

Really sorry about the stale turn; I was away and had to stay longer than planned. I'm back in now anyway.

Re: Immaculate-002: Late Age for Noobs (now in the mid-game)

This is not only my first MP game, but my first game of any sort (excepting the demo). Coupled with the fact that in games I like to discover things as they occur, rather than obsessively reading...

Re: Immaculate-002: Late Age for Noobs (progressing through the early game)

Didn't you kill those guys? Some suspiciously similar trolls showed up in my territory this turn. Must be cousins or something...[/QUOTE]

Yup, I killed them. Lot of trolls around nowadays ;)

Re: Llamaserver troubles

I just got the same message when I sent my turn in for Immaculate's game, but I also got a turn received message and then the next turn, which is rather confusing.

Re: Immaculate-002: Late Age for Noobs (progressing through the early game)

A large army of longbowmen, with a bunch of heavy infantry at the back to tie down the scripted heroes, and some mages chucking lightning bolts. I planned a small communion - first one I've tried -...

Re: Immaculate-002: Late Age for Noobs (progressing through the early game)

Sorry for turn sluggishness, having a bit of a tricky weekend. At least I got rid of those annoying heroes.

Re: Assailed by heroes

Thanks a lot Shatner - btw, this situation cropping up should also answer your in-game query!

I confess some swearing occurred when I saw these guys move in. Still, all grist to the mill in what...

Re: Assailed by heroes

Chelms - LA Man. I had a chance to take a look at the heroes when they first went in, and their combo of high HP/protection and regeneration suggested that it would be hard to make an impact. I...

Great stuff Shatner, a really nice demonstration of how to glean information from the graphs.

Re: Assailed by heroes

Aye, that's the chap. I can't see how I'm going to shift him till I get more powerful magic, as my conventional troops are no match for these irritants (troll mages! I ask you!). That's my year one...

Assailed by heroes

OK... it's early game and I have a fortress besieged by immensely tough looking indy 'heroes' with nasty magic weapons, spells etc. I can't see any way of driving them off, but they're not touching...

Re: Immaculate-002: Late Age for Noobs (progressing through the early game)

I've achieved my first aim of not being left behind with the first expansion - everyone took a province on turn 2.

How can you tell this, out of interest? I looked at the graphs, but I...

Re: Immaculate-002: Late Age for Noobs (submit pretenders)

This automated server is damned clever, I must say. It would be wonderful for Solium Infernum games, which are often plagued by delayed turns.

Re: Immaculate-002: Late Age for Noobs (recruiting)

Thanks :)

The mod and map I've got. Submitting turns sounds simple enough, either by email or Dropbox is fine with me. As I said in my intro post, I play PBEM Solium Infernum, so I'm used to...

Re: Immaculate-002: Late Age for Noobs (recruiting)

I'm not sure I can even call myself a noob yet - played the tutorial and not much more, no multiplayer, no experience with CBM whatsoever - but I still fancy it if you're happy to have me. If you'd...

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)

Greetings, Dominionsians. After enjoying the demo, I have just dropped an eyebrow-raisingly large amount of cash on the full game, and I'm glad I did. Seems to have the potential for real long-term...
