Re: AC-130 targeting

Nobody else operates it. Older AC-47 (Dakotas with MGs) are in few OOBs, but not AC-130.

Re: Tank, model year 1972

Here be the 4-view of T-72 early model, you'll notice it's pretty close in fact. Atleast IMO.

Btw the APG T-72 seems...

Re: AC-130 targeting

Autocannos are useful as they can annoy and frustrate helos.

Re: Silver Lions II - Preview

Re: New map coming soon!

Okay, so that map is ready. That means that just one or two maps for the SLII campaign remain to be done...Covering the entire height of a 1:50000 touristic map of the area :)

Re: Need help..

But it can itself be elliminated by a well placed artillery barrage so ambush-move-ambush-move ;)

Re: Max values/game mechanics question

Remember that absent HE ammo, unit will fire HEAT on soft targets, so you may be well enough with just pure-HEAT armament to represent plasma :)

Re: Need help..

As is the saying re. aerial combat, dogfight is a great equaliser. Try to avoid it if you have longer ranged weapons etc.

For attacking infantry in such a position, you need:
-well place...

Decided to tease y'all a little bit, so here is a preview of the map I am corrently working on. Eisenstein Pass, borders between Czech Republic (or, for SLII campaign, Czechoslovakia) and Germany...

Re: MICLIC mineclearing?

IIRC, the MCLIC and similar charges aren't a panacea and normal mineclearing procedures have to be employed anyway in order to use the route - not all mines would explode along the MCLIC path.
Btw...

Re: MICLIC mineclearing?

No, there isn't a mechanism to simulate that, except the fact that engineers (and mineclearing and engineer tanks) clear the ground pretty quickly.

Re: Russian units v4

AFAIK the PSNR-5 radar (as used on BRM-1 and others) was designed as "dismountable", but not sure about portability - here is the radar in dismounted config, but for use with vehicles it was only the...

Re: Russian units v4

The closest equivalent to their role as "SP-Arty" would be IMO Z-firing them. After all I doubth that even if used as makeshift arty, they were on arty network, able to shift quickly fire etc. -...

Re: Panzer IV turret armour

Would that (turret imbalance due to bigger gun weight) be also a factor with PzKpfw IIIN? It seems it got weaker front turret armor compared to IIIL/M.

Re: Wasting High Explosive Anti Tank Rounds

Plus in real combat you'd be hard pressed to see at a distance whether that thing on the back of a jeep is a light RR, ATGM, .50 MG or just some cargo.

Re: Little used but great weapons?
