I've been trying to make fighters and missle more usefull too. I think the basic problem with missles (and fighters) is they are obviously too easily destroyed. I've been giving them more hitpoints....

I noticed in ver 1.49 in the Vehicle.txt file the following lines for all units:
Launched from Ship := false
Launched from Planet := false
No perhaps these were never...
